Michael Dean as Cher Makes Key West Debut

Florida Weekly Key West Edition

Pride Month in Key West is getting ready to kick off with a whole lot of glitz and glamour. It’s a time to celebrate diversity, equality, and community. And no one does it bigger and better than the little island of Key West.

This year, Key West Pride’s theme of “Still Rising,” honors the history of the LGBTQ+ community and highlights the movement’s resilience.

While the celebrations officially get underway June 22, the party is starting early. Nationally acclaimed Cher impersonator Michael Dean will make his Key West debut at The Birdcage Cabaret at Aquaplex Key West on June 3, to headline an exclusive, one-night-only performance, as a special kick-off fundraiser for Key West Pride.

“Key West is such a special place to me,” says Dean. “Over the years, I spent many long weekends on the island with dear friends, so I am excited to make my first show appearance at Aquaplex Key West. I will “Cher-ish” every moment.”

Dean’s national reputation as one of the leading Cher impersonators is well-earned. Known for his dazzling costumes, commanding stage presence, and spot-on vocals, Dean has performed across the country at venues such as the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, Lips Drag Palace, and Oscar’s Cabaret in Palm Springs. His performance in Key West is expected to be a showstopper.
